Plexus Adhesives Used to Bond Luxury Motor Homes

With over 25 years of experience, Leisure Travel Vans, Limited, knows what it takes to build a quality RV. The company, which builds a complete line of luxury motor homes starts with Dodge Sprinter vans because the vehicles have proven more adaptable than those of other manufacturers. With a manageable bumper-to-bumper length, the motor homes can be driven around the city and easily parked. Leisure produces models that can comfortably sleep from 2 to 4 people.

Leisure uses Plexus Structural Adhesives for key bonding applications throughout their RVs. According to Brian Dueck, Plant Manager, “We rely on the proven performance of Plexus Adhesives for all of our critical bonding applications.”

In the conversion process, the roof and sidewalls of the Sprinter van are cut away and replaced with FRP extensions. Leisure Travel Vans uses Plexus MA832 "Metal Bonder" adhesive to bond the fiberglass extension panels and roof to the steel body. Brian Dueck comments, “Crash testing has proved that the structural integrity of the bonded assembly exceeds Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.”

Plexus Adhesives are also used in other areas for structural bonding:
Fiberglass doors are bonded to aluminum hinges with Plexus MA 832
Seams are sealed with Plexus MA 300
